Rev. Jennifer Mills-Knutsen, Senior Minister
Jennifer has served at AIC since 2016, and she is passionate about ministry that engages church and community. Prior to her move to London, she served as the pastor of St. Luke’s United Church of Christ in Jeffersonville, Indiana and Assistant Pastor at the Old South Church in Boston, Massachusetts.
Jennifer has held many community leadership roles in her ministry, including co-chair of the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization and chair of March2Recovery, an organization overseeing aid and volunteers after devastating EF-4 tornadoes struck Southern Indiana in 2012. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and English from James Madison University in Virginia and a Masters of Divinity from Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California.
Although originally from Virginia Beach, Virginia, she loves the Boston Red Sox almost as much as she loves her husband Josh and her son Benjamin.
Rev. Jared Jaggers, Associate Minister of Faith Formation
Jared came to AIC early in 2020, and his ministry focuses on the belief that growing and developing in faith transforms us as individuals as well as the world around us. His work extends beyond Sunday morning to spiritually engage with the communities around AIC.
Prior to moving to London, Jared was a pastoral resident at Wilshire Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Brite Divinity School in addition to a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Religion from East Texas Baptist University. He has worked in ministry across cultures and Christian denominations from children to senior adults.
Jared was raised in eastern Colorado, but relocated to Texas as a teen where he spent his education and early married years with his wife, Hannah, and their standard poodle. It will not take long before you discover his passions for cooking, baking, and drinking coffee that rival any other love in his life.
Jonathan Miller, Community Minister
Jonathan has been in London and at AIC for the last five years in various staff and lay leadership roles. Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, he graduated from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London with a Bachelor’s Degree in African Studies (Swahili) and International Relations in 2017.
Passionate about how faith, society and politics intersect and interact with each other, he now works at AIC full-time. His primary responsibilities are in leading the church’s community organizing and outreach efforts; coordinating the annual cold weather shelter; managing a local community sponsorship of refugees group; and liaising with other mission and outreach partners.
