Discipleship
Giving: An Essential Part of Discipleship
“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him…..take up his cross daily, and follow me.” Luke 9:23
The life of discipleship includes supporting the vision of one’s faith community. The American International Church provides a range of events and programs designed to help each person experience the foundations of a healthy church life: Fellowship, Worship, Discipleship and Service. Gifts of time, talent and financial support make the work of the church possible, both here and around the world.
Financial Gifts (Download a 2014 Financial Pledge Form here.)
There are many ways to make financial gifts: Cash, Checks, Direct Debit, Transfers of US Stocks, and Wills or Estate Planning.
Giving is a deeply personal thing, and while we encourage it as a part of life for mature and maturing disciples, we do not make specific demands of members and others who attend our church. If you decide to make a financial pledge in partnership with the mission of the American International Church, and are in need of assistance in that process, please contact Rev. John D’Elia at the church office.
Pledging Time and Talent (Download a Pledging Time and Talent Worksheet here)
“Each one should use the gifts they have received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, that person should do it as one who is speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, that person should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 4:8-11)
There are many ways to serve the church with your time and talent. Below is a list of opportunities broken down into the four elements of a healthy church foundation. Take a look, and if you’re interested in giving of your time and talent, or have questions about opportunities at AIC, please contact the church office.
